To Infinity - and Beyond!
After 468 days in space the 12 inch toy was taken to the ISS in May 2008 and has since then been used to film a number of videos for a children’s space education program. A NASA spokesman said the toy had kept a “relatively low profile” but clips have shown the Toy Story star floating weightlessly around the station, bumping of walls. Buzz returned to earth on board space shuttle Discovery last week as the longest-tenured crew member in space.

Lego Heart Toy Story
At Comic-Con 2009 the Lego / Toy Story exhibit featured a life size Lego Buzz Lightyear as well as Lego’s new set of Toy Story Mini-figs (minature lego characters) which are to be released just in time for Christmas. With a simple search on Flickr you can see just how popular Buzz was at the conference. I’ve posted previously about the Toy Story Mini-figs.

Ultimate Buzz

Engadget.com has posted pictures, a video and additional details about the new Buzz Lightyear robot toy. Read and see Ultimate Buzz Lightyear robot to the rescue. The new Buzz is being created by Thinkway Toys. From Engadget:
Buzz responds to a few voice commands, can play a laser tag with the included remote, has a “Puppeteering Programming” mode to pose him for your own animations, and can even suffer an identity crisis when you tell him that he’s just a toy.
